Brent Design Awards 2023: shortlist has been revealed

The Brent Design Awards 2023 shortlist has been revealed, and residents and workers in the area are invited to vote for their favourite overall entry in the People’s Choice Award. The awards aim to celebrate the best examples of high-quality, sustainable design in the borough, with 27 impressive projects making the cut across five categories: Mixed-Use, Residential, Small Projects, Public Realm and Landscape, and Culture and Heritage.

Councillor Shama Tatler, Cabinet Member for Regeneration, Planning and Growth at Brent Council, expressed excitement over the rich variety of innovative design and architecture in the borough. “We are committed to supporting high-quality design in our borough and are delighted to be able to recognise and reward Brent’s most inspiring buildings in our first design awards,” she said.

Residents and workers in Brent are encouraged to have their say by casting their vote in the People’s Choice Award. The winners of each category and the People’s Choice Award will be revealed at an awards ceremony in May. A panel of judges, chaired by Councillor Tatler and consisting of industry experts and local community representatives, will decide the winners. Voting for the People’s Choice Award closes on Thursday, 4 May.
